Our home improvement business started out mostly painting kitchen cabinets and RV interiors. The word got out and I soon got questions like "can you fix my front door? It does not close" or "can you build a pergola?

The phone started to ring with different jobs to do from basement renovation projects, finish painting, decks, docks and many more miscellaneous construction and repairs.

So, I got my general contractors license and jumped in.

Currently my favorite jobs are small ones. I am still working as a chiropractor part time, and contracting part time until I figure out which one I like best. Meanwhile, they are both fun so I will do both!

More About Phillip Kriss

One of my first jobs was at a cabinet shop where I learned perfection. Everything had to be level, square, flush and plumb. If it was not, I would have to do it again..

In college I was building garages.

After I bought my house on Lake Tapps, I learned how to build sheds, decks, docks, paint, and fix stuff. I found it entertaining and a passion.

After a successful chiropractic business owner for 40 years, it was time to move on, so Phil's Fine Finishes was born.
